CAWA State Team 2012
ACF National Calisthenic Championships
Darwin 11 - 14 July 2012
CAWA will be conducting workshops and trials to select subjunior, junior, intermediate and senior state representative teams to travel to compete at the National Calisthenic Championships in 2012.

CAWA will also be seeking applicants for volunteer personnel positions with the team and these include – treasurer, assistant managers, uniform and catering coordinator, team chaperones, costume coordinators, props managers, bus drivers and team assistants [Level 1 coaches].

Team Selection
The Calisthenics Association of WA (CAWA) conducts trials in November each year to select candidates to represent Western Australia at the Australian Calisthenic Federation National Championships held in July the following year.
A selection panel consisting of the appointed State Team coach and representatives from the CAWA Coaches Association and Adjudicators Association select candidates on their performance covering various aspects of calisthenic work. Candidates are informed in writing of the panel’s decision.
Current information, application forms, estimated costs and travel details are available during the CAWA State Championships in September or by contacting the State Team Manager via CAWA.
Coach and Personnel Appointments
The CAWA Board of Management calls for applications for the position of State Team Manager in August.
Coaches are invited to apply for positions with the team and are then selected by a panel comprising of representatives of the Adjudicators Board and Coaches Association. Recommendations are submitted to the CAWA Board of Management for further consideration and appointment.
Personnel are parents from the calisthenic community who have had a close association with the sport at all levels and care a great deal about the team and the sport. Interested personnel are invited to apply for the various volunteer positions within the team and applications are submitted to the CAWA Board of Management for further consideration.
